CASA PURA VIDA…

In Costa Rica this is an expression with many meanings.

For us this means, here in Spain: the pure life.

The pure life that we share with our guests and friends who visit us.

Like for example the Norwegian triatlon club that planned a 2-week training camp in Casa Pura Vida as a base in early March.

We provided an all-in stay for 10 triatletes with a healthy breakfast every morning, a pizza night, a BBQ night and of course a paella night.

What an honor to be the hosts for this group of top athletes.

Motivated athletes who are 100% committed to their sport and who value team spirit.

Next year again!

But pure life also includes the necessary rain this year.

While the Netherlands and Belgium enjoyed an exceptionally dry period with beautiful days with lots of sun, we have had an exceptionally high amount of rain, fortunately without negative consequences.

This rain was much needed and that is already reflected in beautifully developed almonds and a promising olive harvest.

But 1 spring with lots of rain does not make the drought problem non-existent.

That is why we will be building a water basin this year to collect as much water as possible without it flowing away unused.

Water is gold. Our guests realize that too and that is why it is also one of the most frequently asked questions from guests who stay with us during their search for their Spanish dream home.

How does the water supply work in Spain? Since Toon is now also occasionally (after contract consultation) involved in helping Dutch and Belgians in their search for their own "Pura Vida" home,

he can always advise them on these kinds of questions. Call it Spanish life experience.

More and more foreigners are finding their way to the Costa Blanca, which means that language/translation problems are becoming more and more common.

Fortunately, we now speak the language well enough and are often asked to help out here and there.

Sanne is now even an assistant trainer at the local youth football club! What a wonderful honour, isn't it?

Summer is approaching fast and that means that we will soon start preparing the swimming pool and getting the parasols out of the shed.

A large number of our summer guests are returning and we are of course very happy about that!

In June we were also asked to accommodate a group of wedding guests!

In July and August we still rent out our house for families of up to 10 people. We still have availability between 26 July and 31 August.

Whatever the reason is for people to come to us, everyone is welcome to us and every booking or visit feels like an honour.

We can count ourselves lucky that we do this and we hope to continue doing this for many years to come.

Would you like to experience our life here in Relleu yourself? You are WELCOME!
